Twenty-Five women from Rowland Heights met on February 3, 2018 at La Puente Valley Women’s Club to form a group that would volunteer and give back to their community of Rowland Heights. On that day, by the vote of the members the Rowland Heights Women’s Club was formed.
Rowland Heights Women’s Club was chartered as a federated member of the California Federation of Women’s Club in May of 2018.
In June of 2018, we chartered with the General Federation of Women’s Club and are known today as GFWC-Rowland Heights Women’s Club.
Our Club participates in community activities such as, making blankets, hygiene kits and collecting clothing for the homeless.
We provide support in Rowland Heights to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department through Neighborhood Watch programs, LACoFD with programs for emergency preparedness and we help other nonprofit groups in our community. We also provide education on Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence.
Our Club also provides fun activities for the community. We have Mother Daughter Teas, luncheons, Bunco, coffee hours and other fun events. We also provide an Annual Trunk or Treat that we coordinate each year providing a safe place for kids to wear costumes and collect candy without crossing streets.
We invite you to be a part of our Club and enjoy making new friends and giving back to Rowland Heights. You will meet new friends and have fun while giving back to our community!
Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the upper level of Pathfinder Park located at 18150 Pathfinder Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748.
